Just wanted to let you know that I will be selling my wares at the Silverlake Art/Craft/Vintage sale this Saturday (June 11) at the Micheltorena Street Elementary School, 1511 Micheltorena St., LA 90026. It starts at 10 AM, and there are going to be all kinds of vendors – new stuff, vintage stuff, and FOOD TRUCKS! It’s going to be fun, and I look forward to seeing you there! IATSE locals 705 (Motion Picture Costumers) and 892 (Costume Designers Guild) are having a yard sale coming up on Saturday, August 29th at Western Costume. This sale is open to the public. We had one of these yard sales last year, and the goods on sale were amazing. I bought a hot-pink marabou capelet for my little cousin for about $5. Where else in the world are you going to find cooler yard sale items than at a yard sale hosted by costume people??!?! Nowhere!!

Comic Con kicked off with a bang today. The exhibition hall was again wall-to-wall people, clamoring for glimpses of the newest, coolest, and most hard-to-find bits of popular culture. Arriving at 12:30 – yes, late, I know, but I missed my train – I strolled the convention center floor in pursuit of good stories to share with you, Frocktalk readers. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed.
